What's the difference between an Explorer and a Jumpseater?

They're just the two sides of a call:

The Explorer is the person at a real place — a monument, a trail, a market — sharing it live on camera.

The Jumpseater is the person joining from anywhere else to ride along, ask questions, and take it in.

You can be either one — host a place you love, or jump in wherever your curiosity takes you.

Is there a time limit?

Calls can only last up to 30 minutes. We want people to connect, share genuine experiences but also stay present in the moment.

Please show up on time

When you book a session, someone is counting on you. The Explorer often travels to and coordinates being at a specific place — a landmark, a market, a trail — just for your scheduled window. A no-show or a late arrival can mean a wasted trip for them.

So please be respectful of each other's time: join at the scheduled time, and if your plans change, cancel or reschedule as early as you can so the other person can adjust. A little courtesy goes a long way and keeps Jumpseater a place people want to keep showing up for.
